LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist training and certification
The training and certification that I provide is quality checked, meaning it has been rigorously assessed to make sure it meets the high standards and quality necessary to deliver to therapists. The quality check is reviewed annually, ensuring the high standard of this training and certification remains at the top level.

Option 1 – Face to face and virtual training and certification
A one day CPD training course equipping you with all the knowledge, understanding, and confidence needed to be a truly LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist.
This training covers:
-Terminology and identities
- The differences between sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression
- Specific issues and challenges faced by LGBTQ+ people
- The barrers to accessing therapeutic support
- The joys of being LGBTQ+
- Challening your prejudices and belief systems
- What being an LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist means

- How to be an ally
The training involves lots of discussion and group work. This isn't death by Powerpoint or being lectured to. It's a high quality, fully immersive, experiential training.
Take-away resources will be provided, including:
- Glossary of LGBTQ+ terminology
- Copy of the accompanying slideshow
- Scripts, strategies and suggestions for working with LGBTQ+ clients
All delegates will also receive one month’s personal support from me and certification to show that you are an LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist.
Investment: £250/$300/€293 per delegate
Location: I am able to travel anywhere in the UK and internationally to deliver the training, with travel expenses and accommodation costs being covered by the organiser or individual booking me. There is no mimum number of delegates required, so whether you want to book a 1-1 training day or book training for you and your colleagues, both options are fine. Alternatively, I deliver training days that I organise myself for delegates to sign themselves up to. Training can also take place virtually via Zoom, Teams, or any other online platform that works for you.

If you are an organisation wishing to book training for your team, the cost is a day rate of £1,000/$1,200/€1,175 rather than £250/$300/€293 per delegate. I can take a maximum of 30 people per training day.

Option 2 – E-learning
This is an electronic learning experience covering everything that the face to face training covers.
The e-learning option takes place right here on my website. Watch presentations and videos, and view documents that have been specially created to help you become an LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist. This option includes submitting a reflective journal to me detailing what you have learnt and how you will implement it in your practice, after which certification will be awarded to show that you are an LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist.

Option 3 – 1:1 mentorship
A fantastic opportunity to work with me personally as I devote my time, knowledge, skills, and experience to help you live and breath being LGBTQ+ affirmative in your therapeutic work. Mentorship will involve monthly catchups with me, either face to face or online to discuss your progress and set tasks that will ultimately lead to you become a leading LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist.
Investment: £99/$120/€116 per month
A minimum of six months commitment is required.

Working with Victims and Survivors of Conversion Therapy:
This e-learning CPD takes place right here on my website, with slides to help you gain an understanding of conversion therapy, what it is, where it's practiced, the impact is has on people subjected to it, and how to work therapeutically with victims and survivors. There is also a reflective assignment to complete before being awarded with your certificate of completion.
