Since 2009 I have been using hypnotherapy, counselling and coaching to help people get to where they want to be in life. My career began in mental health care working with people suffering from severe mental illness, such as schizophrenia, to help them rehabilitate back into the community upon leaving hospital. The part of my role that I enjoyed the most involved using counselling, coaching and therapeutic skills to help my clients recover.

 

Going on to train as a therapist seemed like a natural progression from there, based on my professional experiences, coupled with a natural curiosity of the mind and will to help others.

I completed my therapy training with Chrysalis, which is the UK's leading therapy training school with classes around the UK, going on to graduate with diplomas in hypnotherapy, counselling and psychotherapy. Since completing my therapy training, I have kept my skills and expertise up to date by completing a number of professional development courses. I view expanding my knowledge as an essential part of being able to help others.

 

In 2017, I returned to Chrysalis as a tutor to teach their Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills qualification at venues in Birmingham, Bristol, Peterborough and Warwick. In addition, I tutored their online courses in hypnotherapy and NLP, wrote blogs on mindset and mental health, and developed the first regulated qualification in the UK for therapists working with LGBT+ clients. In 2023 I left Chrysalis in order to focus more on my clinical work, training, and other interests.

As a very experienced, full time hypnotherapist, counsellor and coach I have helped, and continue to help, countless individuals overcome their issues and achieve their goals. I can help you too.

My clients come from all walks of life and have a wide range of issues. I work in a relatively informal way, with a relaxed, friendly and personable approach, whilst still maintaining a high standard of professionalism. If there's something troubling you or a goal that you would like to achieve, I will help you to work through it successfully.

I do a lot of work with men and I'm incredibly passionate about supporting men to seek therapy and talk more. As a trained Men's Health Champion, I have specialist knowledge and skills to help men work through their issues and achieve their goals.

​

I am also an LGBT+ affirmative therapist (and considered to be a global authority on the topic). This means I not only welcome and accept clients who are LGBT+; I also have an understanding and awareness of issues and experiences specific to the LGBT+ community. I've done training in this area, now train others to be LGBT+ affirmative, and proudly support LGBT+ people to be who they are. That's not to say I only work with LGBT+ clients. It's about making it clear that I welcome people from that community. My therapy services are open to all.

​

My specialist areas are anxiety and confidence, weight loss and quit smoking therapy. I'm here to help you get to where you want to be in life and if your problem falls outside of those specialist areas, I can still help you.

Whoever you are and whatever your identity or background, I welcome all people. Everyone receives the same professional standard of care and I will always aim to over-deliver.
